Malta is such a tiny place you could easily walk all around the coast at a decently relaxed pace in just a few days.
But many people – locals and tourists alike – are always in such a rush and move around way too fast to notice the little hidden gems you might yet discover if you just care to get out of that car or off that bus and start walking.
And it’s a great idea to carry a camera along… That’s what I do most of the time.
Cool, fresh air if you walk late at night and stay off the main roads and keep hugging the coastline.
Invigorating sea breeze, sparse traffic, only a few people taking their evening exercise – a fast walk/jog along the Sliema coastline.
Away from the glitter and expense of those shopping arcades.
Vibrant, ecletic graffiti.
Someone must have been very hard at work designing such inspiring images just a few feet away from the rolling surf crashing against the rocks.
And there’s no way you’d see these wonderful designs unless you get out and walk.
